By inviting top biblical scholars from the Orthodox world and elsewhere to speak at our featured lectures, MNBLS seeks to expose the broadest audience possible to the scholarly study of the Word of God.
In addition to our semiannual lecture series, MNBLS sponsors retreats and bible studies in the Twin Cities area.
These sessions facilitate the reading, explanation and formal discussion of selected biblical texts. MNBLS Bible Studies are divided into three sessions, and cover topics ranging from the analysis of specific books in the Bible to general discussions on literary criticism.
MNBLS is supported by OCABS: the Orthodox Center for the Advancement of Biblical Studies.
OCABS was established to develop, promote and publish research in the areas of biblical studies, homiletics and religious education in the Orthodox Christian Faith.
